Свети Никола у Приштини

У обновљеној Цркви Светог Николе у Приштини, која је била потпуно уништена у погрому 17. марта 2004, на градску и храмовну славу, окупило се јуче десет старијих Срба који живе у овом граду и око педесет гостију из целе земље.

Оцу Дарку са породицом, који живи у Приштини, из Лос Анђелеса је стигао епископ западноамерички Максим, који је заједно са владиком рашко-призренским Теодосијем служио литургију.

Владика Максим је након службе посетио село Доњу Брњицу где је ђацима Основне школе „Димитрије Прица” уручио новчану помоћ и пригодне поклоне. Новац су прикупиле чланице Кола српских сестара из региона Лос Анђелеса.

Milan Vukčević

Milan Radoje Vukcevich (Milan R. Vukčević) (March 11, 1937 – May 10, 2003) was a Yugoslav scientist, chess International Master, Grandmaster chess problem composer, and writer.

Vukcevich was born in Belgrade. In 1955 he won the Yugoslav Junior Championship, drawing a six game match with Bent Larsen in the same year. He became a chess International Master in 1958, and in 1960 played for Yugoslavia at the Chess Olympiad in Leipzig and had the second best overall score at the Student Chess Olympiad in Leningrad. In 1963 he moved to the United States, settling in Ohio.

An Exhibit of Byzantine and Modern Orthodox Icons

Residents of Heaven is a book of Icons by Father Stamatis Skliris which were prepared for "An Exhibit of Byzantine and Modern Orthodox Icons" held at the "David Allan Hubbard Library, Fuller Theological Seminary" in Pasadena, California, June 10 - July 5, 2010.

The iconographer, V. Rev. Stamatis Skliris, attended the opening of the exhibit with His Grace, Bishop Maxim who gave the Introduction. The mounting of the display was done by Jasminka Gabrie and the staff of the Fuller Library. The opening event was organized by Dr. William Dyrness, Director of the Visual Faith Institute, Brehm Center for Worship, Theology and the Arts, Fuller Seminary.
