Lifeline Humanitarian Organization

YOUR HELP WILL MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE

Dear Friends of Lifeline,

Serbia continues to face humanitarian crises and your help is urgently needed. Serbia's aged medical infrastructure and poorly equipped healthcare system is unable to meet the demands of the nation, where cancer mortality rates are the highest in Europe - including the highest mortality rate from breast cancer - and are rising at 2.5 per year.

In addition to these shocking realities, Serbia is on the front lines of the regional migrant crisis as hundreds of thousands of migrants seek safety, passing through Serbian borders, needing shelter and emergency aid.

Your contribution will enable Lifeline to help address these urgent needs. In 2015 Lifeline, together with The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation in Belgrade, accomplished many important goals, including: providing lifesaving equipment to the Clinical Centers of Gynecology and Obstetrics where several thousand examinations are conducted per month; supporting hospitals by providing the expertise and equipment to conduct breast cancer screening, testing made possible thanks to a grant from the Niarchos Foundation; and supporting educational efforts by sending doctors to Memorial Sloan Kettering and the MD Anderson Cancer Center for additional training. Lifeline also supports the annual Serbian Medical Diaspora Conference in Belgrade, attended by more than 400 doctors from throughout Serbia.

An area of personal priority to HRH Crown Princess Katherine is providing social services to children and families. This year The HRH Crown Princess Katherine Foundation celebrates the 10th Anniversary of its founding of the "SOS Children's line in Serbia", a national toll free help line that has received over half a million calls from children throughout the country.

We have great hopes to do even more in 2016 and we can only do it with your help and support. Hospitals lack the basic equipment to save lives; addressing the needs of all children, especially those with special needs, remains a priority; answering the migrant crises and addressing the cancer issue - the list of needs goes on.

HELP US TO HELP THOSE IN NEED

Your generous support will enable us to continue the work so many children and families count on. Please give as generously as you can.

Warmly,

David Hryck

Western American Diocese - Annual 2013

2013 marked several momentous occasions: 50 years of the founding of the Western American Diocese, 150 years of the birth of Archimandrite Sebastian Dabovich, Holy Apostle to the Americas, 1700 years of the Edict of Milan, and a special tribute to Nikola Tesla! Our main focus during this three-day Jubilee Celebration was on the freedom to pursue our faith since the time of Constantine 1700 years ago and how to better live a spiritual life.

As a special tribute, a beautiful commemorative edition of the Annual was prepared, which reflects the History of the Western American Diocese! It is adorned with beautiful photographs and historical articles from our parishes and monateries! It also showcases the wonderful work that has been done over the past year throughout our Diocese and information about our many ongoing ministries. This publicaton also includes a Directory of Parishes.

There are two version of this publication available. Our Hardcover version sells for $15. Our Softcover version sells for $10 and includes Ads & Greetings from families and businesses throughout our Diocese.
