Vasil Hadžimanov dobitnik nagrade za najboljeg džez pijanistu

Muzičar Vasil Hadžimanov dobitnik je nagrade za najboljeg džez pijanistu na električnom klaviru, koja mu je dododeljena na 41. Annual Jazz Station Awards.

Takođe, u kategoriji "Najbolja džez grupa", Vasil Hadžimanov Bend, zauzeo je drugo mesto.

Među ostalim dobitnicima nalaze se vrhunski džez muzičari poput Rona Kartera, Marka Koplanda, Čik Koreje, Rendi Brekera, Dejva Libmana i mnogih drugih.

Iza ove nagrade stoji Arnaldo Desouteiro, džez novinar, producent, istoričar, predavač i producent više od 830 džez kompozicija.

Bishop Mardarije (Uskokovic)

The First Serbian Bishop of America and Canada
Bishop Mardarije was born in Podgorica on December 22, 1889, his father, Pero, being a tribal captain and mother Jela, nee Bozovic. He finished elementary school in Cetinje where he started high school, continuing in Belgrade. Leaving high school in his fifth year, he went to Studenica Monastery. In 1906, with the blessing of Bishop Sava (Barac) of Zica, he took monastic vows and was ordained a deacon. He graduated from the Seminary in Kisenjev where a collection of his sermons was published. From here he went to St. Petersburg, graduating from the Theological Academy in 1916.

Residents of Heaven

An Exhibit of Byzantine and Modern Orthodox Icons

Residents of Heaven is a book of Icons by Father Stamatis Skliris which were prepared for "An Exhibit of Byzantine and Modern Orthodox Icons" held at the "David Allan Hubbard Library, Fuller Theological Seminary" in Pasadena, California, June 10 - July 5, 2010.

The iconographer, V. Rev. Stamatis Skliris, attended the opening of the exhibit with His Grace, Bishop Maxim who gave the Introduction. The mounting of the display was done by Jasminka Gabrie and the staff of the Fuller Library. The opening event was organized by Dr. William Dyrness, Director of the Visual Faith Institute, Brehm Center for Worship, Theology and the Arts, Fuller Seminary.
