Matea Prljevic

As a child growing up in Serbia, music was always a part of my life. Starting with the piano I soon became inspired and fell in love with the classical guitar. I was lucky enough to get into a musical high school in Belgrade where I could focus my entire attention into developing into a mature musician. Besides studying music production, that’s when I became aware of composition and more specifically composition for film.

.

I decided to continue my studies in America, at Berklee College of Music, where I was able to focus on what I really wanted out of music, scoring for film and television. At Berklee I enjoyed working and collaborating with musicians from all over the world, as well as creating an animated short film with a director at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts in Singapore.

Currently I’m based in LA, looking for more collaborations and creating great art.
