Dr. Krinka Vidaković-Petrov - scholar, professor, translator and diplomat. PhD in Comparative Literature. Currently senior fellow (full professor) at the Institute of Literature and Art in Belgrade. Fields of interest: comparative literature and folklore, Balkan and Serbian studies, emigrant culture, Hispanic and Judaic studies, literary translation, Holocaust studies. Author of several books and numerous contributions in academic journals in Serbia and abroad. Served as ambassador of Serbia in Israel (2001-2006).

Jelena Kovačević

Jelena Kovačević is a Serbian American engineering professor, whose research has focused on signal processing and data science. She is the first female dean of the engineering school at New York University.

Kovačević became head of NYU's Tandon School of Engineering in 2018, the first woman to do so in the school's 164-year history. From 2014-2018, she was department head of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to that, she was a professor of biomedical engineering at Carnegie Mellon, which she joined in 2003. She was also an adjunct professor at Columbia University and worked at Bell Laboratories in New Jersey from 1991-2002.

The book contains prayers commonly used by Orthodox Christians, lists of Scriptural Commandments, and brief articles on the precepts of Faith, proper conduct in church, and the meaning and practice of prayer. It is adorned with striking icons and illustrations by Fr. Stamatis Skliris, a parish priest in Athens who is renowned as an iconographer and as a writer and lecturer on Byzantine iconography.
